Epson America on Wednesday introduced three new “all-in-one” devices that offer printing, scanning and other features. The Stylus CX7400, CX8400 and CX9400Fax are priced between $70 and $150.
The all in one devices all use DuraBrite inks, individual ink cartridges, auto photo correction, multipurpose flash media card slots, PictBridge camera interfaces, border free printing and other key features. They’re compatible with Mac OS X v10.2.8, Mac OS X v10.3.9 or Mac OS X v10.4 or later. They all connect to a host Mac or PC using USB 2.0.
The CX7400 is priced at $69.99, and offers up to 28 pages per minute print speeds. It features one touch copying and scanning up to 1200 x 2400 dots per inch.
The CX8400 costs $99.99 and steps up the line with slightly faster speeds — up to 32 pages per minute. It also sports a built-in 2.5-inch LCD viewfinder to help you view photos or images prior to printing them — useful to aid you in working with a digital camera without having to go through your Mac first, for example.
The CX9400Fax is a five-in-one device that features printing, scanning, copying, text and photo manipulation and fax capabilities. It has a 33.6 Kbps color fax and 30-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), a 60 number speed dial, up to 100 pages of memory, automatic redial and other features.
Both the CX7400 and the CX8400 are shipping now. Epson expects to release the CX9400Fax in October.
