Sirius and Sonos on Wednesday announced that the Sirius satellite radio network is now available to owners of the Sonos Digital Music System.
Sonos enables you to set up a wireless music network in your home, streaming music from your Mac or PC to any speakers in your home. The company offers a color LCD-equipped wireless remote control and wireless amplifiers and matched speakers; you can install them in up to 32 rooms.
With Sirius satellite radio capabilities in Sirius System Software 2.3, users can now listen to more than 80 Sirius channels, including commercial-free music channels and control them using the Sonos Controller remote. The Sirius service is available as a 30-day trial to Sonos customers; after that it costs $2.99 per month if you’re an existing Sirius customer, or $12.95 per month if you’re not.
