zCover on Friday unveiled a designer version of their TypeOn keyboard skin for 13-inch Apple MacBook laptops in either black or white variations. The keyboard skins cost $34.99 each, and join a growing line of skins designed to cover MacBook keyboards in translucent colors.
The TypeOn skin covers the MacBook’s keyboard in silicone to protect the keys from wear and tear, dust, dirt, crumbs, liquid spills and other contaminants that can ruin your keyboarding experience. The cover is precision-molded to cover the MacBook’s keyboard keys while retaining its shape, but it’s also removable and washable.
Unlike other TypeOn skins, these skins are opaque, and are “zPrinted” with numbers, letters, symbols and functions, just like the regular keyboard. The printing does not peel or fade, according to zCover, and the silicone is tear and rip-resistant.
