Ambrosia Software has released Snapz Pro X v2.1.1, an updated version of their screen capture utility for Mac OS X. A free update for Snapz Pro X v2 users, the software is priced starting at $29.
Snapz Pro X lets you capture screen images and video in a variety of different formats. You have control over how the image is captured, what portion of the screen is seen, how images are labeled and more. A $29 version lets you capture still images; a $69 version lets you record video using QuickTime.
Snapz Pro X 2.1.1 fixes bugs, mainly. It corrects problems where some movies would end with blank frames and where some compressors would produce huge movie files. Garbled video capture on Nvidia-based systems has been fixed, “rare deadocks and kernel panics” have been corrected, audio capture performance is better, and other enhancements have been made, as well.
Snapz Pro X 2.1.1 is a Universal binary. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
