Binarynights Software has released Forklift 1.1, an update to its FTP client and file manager for Mac OS X. Forklift 1.1 is a free update for registered users, and costs $29.95.
Forklift connects Macs to FTP or SFTP servers and can also be used to manage Amazon S3 accounts and mobile devices via Bluetooth.
New to the 1.1 release is a Droplet — a free-floating icon that you can put anywhere to use as a connection port to most FTP or S3 folders. The new release also supports FXP, which lets you directly transfer files and folders between FTP servers without downloading the file locally.
Also new in 1.1 is batch rename support, “Appdeleter,” split/combine support, tools menu sorting, and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later. A 15-day demo version is available.
