Shure on Friday introduced the SE110 Sound Isolating Earphones. The $99 earphones are designed to block ambient outside noise to provide better sound clarity. They’re coming on September 17, 2007.
The earphones — which work with any 3.5mm headphone-equipped source, including Macs and iPods — incorporate balanced “MicroSpeakers” that deliver optimized audio, and block over 90 percent of ambient noise.
The SE110’s include a “fit kit” — two pairs of disposable black foam sleeves in small and large sizes, three pairs of soft flex sleeves in small, medium and large, a three-foot cable, carrying case and nozzle cleaning tool.
Shure also offers optional accessories for the SE110s, including a 9-inch cable, airline adapter, volume control, music phone adapter and push-to-hear accessory.
Shure’s Web site had not been updated with information about the SE110 as Playlist posted this article.
