Ambrosia Software has released pop-pop 1.0.5, an update to its arcade-style brickbashing game. The new release is a Universal binary, making it run natively on Intel Macs. A free update for registered users, pop-pop costs $25 to register.
Pop-pop is a curious mix of brickbashing and combat against computer-controlled or networked human opponents. You pick your “pop” — the character who represents you in the game, each imbued with a special power they can use in combat against other opponents. The game also has a puzzle mode in which you must blast through a puzzle of bricks.
Pop-pop 1.0.5 also features compatibility with Apple’s Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” WWDC release and various bug fixes and enhancements.
System requirements call for a G3 or better and Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
