Following a remarkably short public beta period, Studiometry maker Oranged Software has released
Accounted, a new accounting software package for Mac OS X. It costs $59.95, and a 30-day trial version is available.
Features include double entry bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, split transactions and check printing. Particular attention has been paid to the interface and user experience, according to the developer, with embellishments like a “totals ticker” that displays several totals at the bottom of each account.
Since the beta was released earlier this month, Oranged Software has added asset and liability accounts, new actions in the transaction lists, new interface features and options, random sample data generation and more.
Accounted is a Universal binary and requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
