Mark/Space has released The Missing Sync for Palm OS 6.0.1, an update to its data synchronization tool for users of Palm OS-based PDAs and smartphones. It’s a free update for registered users, though the full software costs $39.95 to download or $49.95 on CD-ROM.
The Missing Sync for Palm OS enables Mac users to synchronize more types of data on their Palm OS-based smartphones and PDAs than Palm’s own software and Apple’s iSync allow; it also enables devices that don’t include Mac synchronization software to operate on the Mac.
The 6.0.1 release recognizes newer device to import photos from during PIM synchronization, improves prevention of duplicate contact records containing middle names, better handles Palm OS category limitations, increases reliability of memory-intensive notes sync and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later (including Leopard) and a handheld running Palm OS 4 or Palm OS 5 with USB, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
