MildMannered Industries has released Iris 1.0, a Mac OS X app designed to work in conjunction with Apple’s iSight camera. It costs $30, and a demo is available for download.
Iris lets you take snapshots using your iSight. It can also record timelapse movies, detect motion (with e-mail alerts) and act as a webcam. A built-in gallery lets you e-mail snapshots or movies to others, upload photos to the Flickr online photo sharing service, or export movies to view on a video-capable iPod, Apple TV or iPhone.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later and an iSight camera (built-in or external) or other USB or FireWire camera. It’s a Universal binary.
