MakeMusic on Monday announced the release of Finale PrintMusic 2008, a new version of the music notation software for Mac OS X and Windows. PrintMusic costs $99.95, and upgrades from previous versions cost $29.95.
Finale PrintMusic 2008 is suitable for songwrites, students, teachers and others who want to print out their music The software features easy setup that lets you configure key and time signatures, transpositions and other details quickly and easily. You can enter notes using a MIDI keyboard, play a brass or woodwind instrument into a microphone, click notes in place with a mouse and more.
Improvements to PrintMusic 2008 include a new mixer that lets you set volume and panning, the ability to import and export TIFF graphics, new document styles that let you personalize scores, a new selection tool that lets you accomplish more without having to change tools, better cut, copy, paste and insert features, improved scanning with better accuracy, an updated Setup Wizard and other key improvements.
System requirements call for a G4 or better (including Intel), Mac OS X v10.4 or later, 800 x 600 resolution, CD-ROM drive, 256MB RAM, 246MB hard disk space.
