Ecamm Network has released Call Recorder v2.2, an update to the company’s software to record your calls using Skype, the Voice over IP (VoIP) software. Call Recorder v2.2 is a free update for registered users and costs $14.95.
Call Recorder enables Skype users to record audio and video calls into QuickTime movies. You can manually stop and start the recording process, or automatically record all calls, control file size and quality, use H.264 and AAC encoding to save space, convert calls to MP3 format and more.
New in the 2.2 release is a side-by-side video recording mode, and an option to record at 640 x 480 resolution on faster Macs. An issue where the call may not be recorded properly when leaving a voicemail message is fixed, compatibility with Leopard has been added, and other minor fixes and enhancements have been made.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, QuickTime 7 or higher, Skype for Mac 1.4 or later and a PowerPC or Intel processor. Video recording requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later and Skype for Mac 2.5 or later.
