Cocktail, perhaps one of the best known system level utilities for Mac OS X, has been updated to version 3.8.3, fixing several bugs with the application.
Among the changes in the new version is a bug that caused high CPU usage on Mac OS X 10.4.10 (PPC). The update also addresses an issue in which some of the Adobe font caches may not be cleared.
Two issues with journaling were also fixed. In one instance the journaling state of the case-sensitive HFS+ disks could not be detected and the other issue in which journaling could not be enabled or disabled, have both been fixed.
Cocktail can be downloaded from the developers Web site.
