Macintosh Telephony company Parliant on Friday released an update to its PhoneValet messaging software.
According to company President Kevin Ford, the new version of PhoneValet gives users of iPods and iPhones the ability to listen to there voicemails anywhere. Of course, with the varying capabilities of the the devices, there are also varying degrees of integration.
With PhoneValet 5.3 iPhone users can have their voicemails emailed to the phone. You can then listen to the voicemail and even return the call.
The iPhone and iPod touch can access voice mails and recent calls through a visual voicemail interface that works just like the iPhone’s wireless voicemail application, according to the company. This web application comes with PhoneValet Anywhere, an add-on package that extends PhoneValet’s capabilities to remote computers.
Finally, you can put your voicemails in iTunes and sync to any iPod as audio files.
PhoneValet Message Center costs $169.95 per line (including software and hardware). PhoneValet Anywhere, available costs $59.95 per PhoneValet server. PhoneValet 5.3 is a free upgrade for users of PhoneValet 5.x.
