Apple has updated its pro photography workflow tool Aperture to v1.5.6. It’s available for download through Software Update or through the Apple Web site.
Aperture helps digital photographers organize their photos, determine which photos to keep and which to discard, enables extensive metadata entry, customization and search capabilities, and offers non-destructive editing retouching capabilities as well.
In addition to Leopard compatibility, Aperture 1.5.6 improves performance and stability, according to Apple. Changes documented for 1.5.6 include addressing minor compatibility problems with iPhoto 7.1, iLife Media Browser previewing sharing, Import Session query reliability and Vault library recovery.
Apple recommends the update for all Aperture users, not just those upgrading to Leopard.
