CS Odessa on Tuesday announced the release of ConceptDraw Mindmap 5.2, an updated version of its mind mapping business productivity software. The new release is a free update for registered version 5 users. ConceptDraw Mindmap costs $119 or $199 for the Personal and Professional versions, respectively.
ConceptDraw Mindmap utilizes a visualization method called mind mapping to help users discover ways of increasing efficiency and productivity when organizing ideas and projects, or when communicating in a group.
New to the 5.2 release is compatibility with Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard.” Additionally, CS Odessa has added support for Leopard’s Quick Look technology, which enables you to view a document in the Finder without having to open its host application first. ConceptDraw Mindmap 5.2 also adds iCal integration and updates its user interface to be more aligned with the interface changes in Leopard.
A new Clipart Library has been added, map previews are now reflected in Page Navigator and a floating toolbar has been incorporated that adds all of the drawing tools. An automatic topic placement mode lets users switch from the existing freehand topic placement mode.
