Fidelity Media has released an update to its DJ mixing and radio automation software
The new 4.1 version is a free update for registered 4.0 users, and costs $249.
MegaSeg is helpful for DJs who want to automate music playback using their Macs. You can put your music library in play, segue or beat mixing between songs and music videos, trigger sound effects via hot keys, use color-coded request lists, cue tracks on a second output, create dynamic scheduled playlists, and program playlist events. It’s even compatible with songs you buy through the iTunes Store.
New to version 4.1 is support for Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard.” Fidelity Media counts more than 40 other improvements and fixes as well, including new pitch control buttons, improved Pitch-Lock playback quality, a revised Open Playlist dialog with a cleaner look, new Insert URL feature for Events and Schedule, new MIDI trigger support for general preview, and other improvements with Events, QuickTime, ID3 tags, MIDI, importing, keyboard shortcuts, logging and more.
MegaSeg 4.1 is a Universal binary that runs on Mac OS X v10.3 or later and a G3/600MHz or faster with 512MB RAM.
