Music software-maker Native Instruments has begun shipping Kore 2, the company’s universal host system.
Kore works as a host for VST and Audio Unit plug-ins and can be used as a standalone application or as a plug-in with a compatible sequencer application. Kore also comes with a hardware controller that includes a USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interface.
Among the changes with the new system, Kore 2 adds a comprehensive sound library based on integrated NI instrument engines.
The new sound library features 500 specially designed studio-quality KoreSounds, each with multiple sound variations, covering all relevant musical styles and genres. Integrated engines include Absynth, FM8, Guitar Rig, Kontakt, Massive and Reaktor.
Kore 2 is available for $559.
