Microspot on Wednesday announced the release of Interiors Professional, a $249 interior design software application for the Mac. A demo version is available for download.
Developed as a “pro” version of Microspot’s consumer-oriented Interiors application, the software helps users create realistic designs then render them using a high-quality raytrace engine. The software features built-in modeling capabilities, with 14 tools and four extra palettes.
A preview rendered lets you see your layouts complete with lighting and shadows. The renderer has variable resolution for images and shadows. You have full access to primitive shapes, tools for creating pipes, toroids, lathed shapes and irregular polygons, a 3D text tool, edit path tool, and more.
You can import Google SketchUp files and files that use the 3DS format, along with a library of more than 1500 items.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later and a G5 or Intel-based Mac with 1GB RAM and 1GB free hard disk space.
