Apple has updated the Lights-Out management firmware used in its Intel-based Xserve hardware. The new update is available for download from Apple’s Web site.
The update makes changes to the Lights-Out management environment of the Intel-based Xserve. It corrects a problem that could cause the LOM port to be unresponsive. Apple “strongly recommends” that all Intel-based Xserve users install this update.
The update can be run either directly from the Finder of the target Xserve or remotely from a command line. It requires Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later.
