Freeverse Software on Thursday released Heroes of Might & Magic V version 1.5.1, an update to their Macintosh conversion of the popular computer strategy game. It’s available for download for all registered users. Heroes of Might & Magic V costs $49.95.
Heroes of & Magic V puts players in a fantasy world populated by creatures of light and darkness, and pits massive forces against each other. You find yourself in the Griffin Empire on the eve of the marriage of Emperor Nicolai and his sweetheart, Isabel. Demons emerge and Nicolai has no choice but to lead his forces to war. It’s a turn-based strategy game. HOMM V features a full 3D graphics engine, new Dynamic Battle System, a storyline that features numerous objects, quests and plot twists, six campaigns and more than 30 missions, and multiplayer gaming support.
The game has been updated with bug fixes to improve stability and display issues, and changes to the registration system as well. Freeverse calls the update “critical” and recommends that all users install it.
