Pettinhouse has released DirectGuitar 2.0, a 9GB sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
According to the company the guitar has been recorded directly to the sound, which means you can add your own amp simulator and effects to make the sound you want for your song. Each selector is 1.2 GB and about 720 samples at 24Bit 96Khz, full sustain, natural decay (no loops), 3 velocity layers and round robin for alternate picking.
The library also includes all of the sounds you would expect in a recorded guitar like fret noises and slides.
DirectGuitar 2.0 is available on DVD for $109; upgrades cost $45.
