KavaSoft has introduced KavaTunes, new software that makes your iTunes music library accessible from any Web browser. KavaTunes costs $35, and a demo version is available for download.
KavaTunes lets you browse, search and play your music from the Web. KavaTunes can add album artwork to your music library, and includes the artwork in the online catalog. The Web catalogs produced by KavaTunes are reminiscent of the iPod, according to the developer — users can use the familiar iTunes Click Wheel interface to find the content they’re looking for.
A personalized home page shows your most played artists, recently-added albums, recently-played songs and top-rated albums. Visitors can listen online, and can even link to the iTunes Store to buy the music they like.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, including Leopard, iTunes 6.0.2 through 7.5, and a Web server with PHP.
