Quark on Tuesday launched QuarkCopyDesk 7, the company’s text and picture editing software designed for writers, editors and others who contribute to publishing workflows.
QuarkCopyDesk 7 enables writers and editors to see the same graphic-rich pages that designers see because it is built on the same code base as QuarkXPress 7. Everything from colors, article geometry, style sheets, and hyphenation are maintained so that formatted files move easily between the two applications, Quark said.
QuarkCopyDesk 7 has several new features including Professional Image Manipulation and Picture Effects; Split Views; and Streamlined Output Process.
QuarkCopyDesk 7 costs $249.
