Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) has introduced a redesigned TuneStik FM transmitter for the iPod. It costs $59.99.
The TuneStik plugs into the 30-pin dock connector on the bottom of the iPod and enables it to stream music and audio to a nearby FM receiver tuned to an open (unused) frequency. It uses a pass-through connector, so you can combine the TuneStik with other iPod gear, such as battery rechargers and sync cables. The TuneStik includes a wireless Radio Frequency (RF)-based remote control you can use to control the iPod itself. DLO includes a steering-wheel cradle so you use it in your car without having to take your hand off the steering wheel.
The new and improved TuneStik features a redesigned remote control. The remote now sports a built-in display that lets users see and change the FM frequency the TuneStik uses.
