Bare Bones Software on Wednesday announced the release of Yojimbo 1.5, a new version of their information organizer for Mac OS X. A free upgrade for registered users, Yojimbo costs $39 for an individual license.
Yojimbo is a free-form information organizer. It stores many different data types, such as text notes, passwords, Web bookmarks, product serial numbers, PDF files, Web archives and more. The software incorporates search capabilities, and can encrypt files using AES-256 encryption. Support for Sync Services enables you to synchronize data with .Mac and applications that also support Sync Services.
New to the 1.5 release is support for image files, along with improved performance for both searching and filtering. Spotlight search results are more complete because additional item properties are indexed, such as tags. Fixes have also been made for various reported issues.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4.3 or later, including Leopard.
