At 6:00 pm ET on Friday Apple will open its latest retail location in the Meatpacking District of New York. While customers visiting the new location will be able to use and touch all of Apple’s newest products, this location offers some new twists.
New York’s creative community will appreciate Apple’s new Pro Labs where customers can receive free, in-depth training on Apple’s pro applications. Apple said they have more than 175 Mac Specialists, Mac Geniuses and Creatives with expertise in video editing, digital photography and music production, among other topics.
Apple’s third and largest Manhattan store includes a 46-foot Genius Bar and is three floors — two floors for products and a third dedicated to service.
According to Apple, more than 275 million people on three continents have visited Apple retail stores since they opened in May 2001. Apple now has 204 stores, including 13 in the UK, seven in Japan, four in Canada and one in Italy.
