MacSoft has announcd the release of a retail edition of Sandlot Games’ casual action title Cake Mania. The game costs $19.99.
Cake Mania is a variation on the eminently popular “Diner Dash” genre of casual action games. Cake Mania puts you in control of Jill, a recent culinary school graduate who’s returned home to find that her grandparents’ bakery has been shut down by the new Mega-Mart that’s muscled into the neighborhood. Jill can save the day if she can bake enough to attract new customers
Cake Mania features 84 progressively more difficult levels where players have handle all aspects of the bakery business — serving customers, handing out menus, collecting cash, baking, frosting and decorating cakes. The money Jill gets will be rolled over into upgrades to the kitchen (and to newer, bigger and better digs) to attract more and more customers and to build the business.
Cake Mania has been available for the past month or so as a digital download, but this marks Cake Mania’s debut as a retail title available for the Mac.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
