MTV Games said Wednesday that it has teamed up with Jerry Bruckheimer, the renowned movie and television producer, to create unique new video games.
“By joining MTV Games with Bruckheimer’s blockbuster track record for creating successful entertainment properties in film and television, both new and experienced gamers can expect what promises to be some of the most entertaining, challenging, and unique games,” said MTV in a presser.
Bruckheimer is best known for his work on Top Gun, Armageddon, Enemy of the State, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Black Hawk Down, Pirates of the Caribbean, and National Treasure.
Given his lack of experience in games, Bruckheimer will rely on his storytelling chops and Hollywood contacts when making new titles.
“Video games represent a new and innovative medium for what we’ve always tried to do, which is to tell great stories,” he said. “I look forward to working with MTV Games to create new original game stories, always looking for ways to innovate the medium.”
