Chronic Logic has released a Universal binary version of its unusual action game Gish. Gish is available for download; a free update for registered users, the game costs $19.95.
Gish is a rolling ball of tar who’s out for a stroll with his lady friend Brea when a shadowy figure emerges from an open manhole and abducts her. Gish must travel through the subterranean land of Dross to find Brea and free her.
Gish’s gelatinous structure is his only means of defense, and Gish discovers that he can use his form to help him overcome obstacles. To that end, the game features a dynamic physics engine and a destructible environment. It has 34 story levels, hidden secrets, 10 different enemies and secret levels waiting for you to discover.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1 or later, G3 1GHz or faster and 32MB VRAM. If you’ve paid for Gish in the past, you can look up your registration info online. And if you’ve got the full version installed already, you can patch it to the latest release.
