FileMaker on Tuesday released Bento, the newest product in the companyÕs database line-up. Bento is targeted to individuals as a way to organize their lives.
Designed specifically for Mac OS X Leopard, Bento takes advantage of several technologies to make the product easy to use including iTunes-like search, works with iPhone and .Mac, one-click customization and the ability to drag and drop items for import.
Bento will automatically display existing contacts and events from AppleÕs Address Book and iCal, so there is no need to re-enter any information.
Using Bento you can manage virtually unlimited contact details; track projects, assignments and deadlines; connect related information together to see more details; prioritize things that need to get done; catalog inventory, donations and items for sale; record hours worked and payments due; create libraries for music, movies and media; and store files and photos related to projects and events.
Bento costs $49 or $99 for a family pack of five licenses, and is available on the FileMaker Web store and Apple retail store.
