Editor’s Note: All this week, Macworld editors will report from the Macworld Expo show floor on meetings with Mac developers, new product announcements, and anything else that catches their eye.
Feeling a little tense after a week of running around the Expo show floor? Amuse is trying to help Mac users find their inner peace with
Serene Saver 2HD, a $30 program that places calming video loops on your OS X Desktop.
The program includes more than three dozen high-resolution video clips of sunsets, temples, boats, and gentle waves, and so on. They also include ambient sounds, so you can hear the trees rustle in the breeze while you work in your windowless cubicle. If having movement appear behind your open programs is too distracting, you can also use the video clips as a screensaver instead.
If you need even more help relaxing, an Auto Serenity mode lets you enforce work breaks by having your documents temporarily disappear at set intervals so you can focus on the soothing scenes instead of your company’s financial statement.
Serene Saver works on OS X 10.4 and later and requires a G5 or Intel-based Mac.
