Apple has added two new games for purchase from the iTunes Store. The games each cost $4.99 and are compatible with third-generation iPod nano, iPod classic and fifth-generation iPod devices. They don’t work with iPod touch or iPhone.
Pole Position Remix from Namco is a return to the classic arcade game of yore as you take to the cockpit of an open-wheel racing car, avoiding cars, billboards and other obstacles as you make your way around the track. You receive points for the distance you travel and for each car you pass. The better you do, the more you’ll unlock — new tracks, cars, billboards and more. There are five unique tracks, four race types and more.
Block Breaker Deluxe from Gameloft is a brick-bashing arcade game in the milieu of Breakout and Arkanoid. The game has been reinvented with snazzy graphics set in a jet-set nightlife environment — bars, dance clubs, beaches, restaurants and casinos. The game features obstacles, special bricks, multiple bonuses, secret weapons, pad-size options and ball speed variations, too.
