Agile Web Solutions has updated 1Password to version 2.5.9. The new release is a free update for all 1Password customers. 1Password costs $29.95.
1Password is a password manager for Mac OS X. It features integrated anti-phishing technology and sports an automatic form filler with support for credit cards and multiple identities. Information is stored in a secure database that tracks Web site logins, secure notes, bank accounts and software registration information.
New to the 2.5.9 release is a password strength meter that helps you find weak Web passwords that may need to be replaced; a new Generic Text Import feature that lets you add info from any formatted text file; new export formats; a new Display Scope feature in the Web Forms attributes, and Palm/Treo support for the trial version. More than 40 improvements have been made in this release all together, according to Agile.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later. A 30-day demo version is available.
