SubRosaSoft.com has announced the release of a maintenance update to its line of Salvage utilities that brings Leopard compatibility and other changes.
The Salvage line includes individual products like OfficeSalvage, PodSalvage, CameraSalvage and FileSalvage. They’re especially developed for Mac OS X, and provide users with the ability to recover files that have been deleted accidentally, are unreadable because of media problems or stored on devices that have been reinitialized. The software applications work on Mac OS hard drives, USB flash drives, Linux disks, Windows drives and more.
The new release of the Salvage line marks Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” compatibility, and adds a more robust preview engine that can make previewing corrupt and large files more reliable, according to SubRosaSoft. Also new is an autosave function that lets users save searches without having to rescan the drive.
All Salvage applications require Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
