Findley Designs on Monday announced the release of iPod Access 4.2, an update to its iPod access utility for Mac OS X and Windows. It’s a free update for registered users, and costs $19.99.
iPod Access is an iPod and iPhone music and video transfer application; the software lets you display and sort all the songs on your mobile devices. You can use it to add songs, videos and podcasts directly to the iTunes library, export son listings, automatically rename files, clone playlists into iTunes, and more.
New to the 4.2 release is support for the iPod touch. It also works with all past and present iPod models, according to the developer. Other new features include improved duplicate checking with iTunes, better playlist cloning, improved copying of large files, and an improvement to the “Show songs not in iTunes” function.
iPod Access requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later. It’s a Universal binary.
