Leveractive, makers of Giggles Computer Funtime for Baby, has announced Nursery Rhymes, a new software title for families with tots ages 6 to 24 months. It costs $19.99 and will be in stores by the end of March, 2008.
Nursery Rhymes is aimed at babies and toddlers who want to tap the keys on a computer keyboard for on-screen feedback. The software safely “locks out” the rest of the computer, so you don’t have to worry about your little one accidentally deleting files or messing up the computer.
This newest title from Leveractive takes the same basic formula as previous Giggles titles but brings classic nursery rhymes to life. The words for each rhyme can be viewed on screen. More than 50 songs are included.
Nursery Rhymes has a new “Toddler Mode” that can be turned on or off in many activities; it challenges toddlers to access three different levels of rewards by pressing keys without pausing. At the end they get a final “you did it” reward.
System requirements were not announced, but previous Giggles titles have requires a G4/400MHz or faster and Mac OS X v10.1 or later.
The Leveractive Web site had not been updated with information about Nursery Rhymes as Macworld posted this article.
