Barton Springs Software on Tuesday announced the release of Photonic, a Mac OS X application that helps users use the Flickr photo blogging service. It costs $20.
Flickr is a popular photo blogging service owned by Yahoo. The service enables users to share photos in their own personal libraries, which they can then post to various groups on the service, make available for download to friends and family, or link to from their own blogs.
Photonic helps users upload new pictures to streams, sets and groups, and can also be used to browse and search Flickr, explore other users streams and favorites. Using Photonic, you can describe, tag and upload new pictures, search Flickr using descriptions or tags, and view images at full resolution.
System requirements all for Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard,” 300-500MB of hard disk space (for caching) and a free or paid Flickr account.
