IT professionals can now get training and certification for Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” and Leopard Server through the
Certified Training Alliance, a network of Apple-Authorized Training Centers (AATCs) in the United States.
The CTA is an organization of independent AATCs with 16 locations throughout the U.S. The training itself is performed by Apple-certified trainers.
The courses include “Leopard 101 Mac OS X Support Essentials 10.5,” a three-day course that explores troubleshooting on Mac OS X and provides students with best methods for effectively supporting users of Mac OS X systems. “Leopard 201 Mac OS X Server Essentials 10.5” is a four-day course for system administrators to learn the ins and outs of maintaining a network that uses Mac OS X Server. Leopard 101 costs $1,500; Leopard 201 costs $2,000.
Both courses can be used as the foundation for two of Apple’s professional IT certifications — Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) and Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC).
