Boinx Software has announced the release of Mousepose 3, a new version of its cursor highlight software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Mousepose costs $16.95. The new Family License, which allows you to use Mousepose on up to five computers, costs $29.95.
Mousepose helps anyone doing presentations or demos by dimming the screen and putting a spotlight over the area around the cursor, or mouse pointer. It helps guide the audience to an area of interest you wish to highlight. It can also comes in handy for visually impaired users to help find the cursor on the screen.
New to Mousepose 3 is the ability to hear mouse clicks in addition to seeing them — the audience can hear what’s going on. Boinx has also reworked the click animation, and made the color user-selectable. Also new in this release is Window Highlighting, which will automatically expand the focus to include a window when the mouse is hovering over it.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later and Quartz Extreme support.
