Mark/Space on Tuesday announced the release of The Missing Sync for Palm OS v6.0.3, an update to their Mac OS X synchronization software for Palm-based PDAs and smartphones. It’s a free update for version 6 users. The Missing Sync for Palm OS costs $39.99.
The Missing Sync replaces the HotSync manager included with some Palm devices, and enables other Palm-based devices that don’t include Mac software to work with the Mac. It bridges a connection to Address Book, matches iCal calendar categories, features its own Notes application, transfers iPhoto libraries, and syncs over USB, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
New to the 6.0.3 update is improved synchronization with Bare Bones Software’s Yojimbo 1.5 application. Recurring tasks are better handled, and support has been enhanced for custom field sync with Microsoft Entourage. You can now delete individual or selected calls from the call log archive on your Mac, and do the same for the SMS log as well.
The Missing Sync for Palm OS v6 requires Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later and a device running Palm OS 4 or Palm OS 5.
