Western Digital (WD) on Tuesday introduced its new My Passport Elite portable USB hard disk drives. They come in 250GB and 320GB capacities for $169.99 and $199.99 respectively.
The new drives weigh less than 5 ounces. They have a soft-touch finish and come in four colors: bronze, titanium, westminster blue and cherry red. Bus-powered, the drives incorporate a capacity gauge that lets you tell at a glance how much space is available.
Mac and Windows-compatible, the drive includes Windows-only backup and synchronization software. You can also plug the drive into the USB port on an Xbox 360 or Sony PlayStation 3 to share music, photos and videos on your console.
