Thursby Software Systems on Thursday announced the release of ADmitMac 4.1 and DAVE 7.1, new versions of its Microsoft networking software for Mac OS X. Both upgrades are free for users with active support agreements.
ADmitMac enables Macs working in Active Directory-based networking environments to have more advanced security, performance more complete Active Directory-based support than they can using Apple’s software alone. DAVE offers similar functionality for Macs working in Windows networks that don’t use Active Directory.
Changes to ADmitMac 4.1 include an improved Distributed File Sharing (DFS) module and a deployment tool that lets ADmitMac to be installed on multiple systems.
Changes to DAVE 7.1 also include the improved DFS module, as well as the ability to configure volumes that mount at login.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
