The seventh annual Final Cut Pro User Group (FCPUG) SuperMeet is set to happen at next week’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event happens on Wednesday, April 16th at 6:30 PM in the Grand Ballroom at the MGM Grand Hotel. Tickets cost $15.
Doors will open at 5:00 PM for a trade show with more than 30 exhibitors expected to attend.
The SuperMeet features Apple’s director of video marketing, Richard Townhill, who will demonstrate Final Cut Server and talk about the latest changes to Final Cut Studio. Alex Bickel and Hal Wolverton of Euro RSCG/Outside Editorial will also be on stage to show how they graded the new Jaguar XF television ad using Color from Apple. Craig Yanagi of JVC and DVInfo.net’s Tim Dashwood will also present.
Other speakers include Ripple Training’s Steve Martin on Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium, M. Dot Strange with clips from his animated film “We are the Strange,” Ted Schilowitz of Red Digital Cinema and the inaugural class of the Wounded Marines Careers Foundation. Noah Kadner will present footage shot using the Phantom High Speed Camera, and Philip Hodgetts promises “the scariest editing tool you will ever see.”
Free food and cash bar will be available throughout the evening, and $90,000 worth of raffle prizes are expected to be given away at the end of the show.
