Rimage on Monday announced a preview at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show of DiscFlow for Mac OS X. DiscFlow is aimed at content creators who want to burn and print DVDs, CDs and Blu-ray Discs using Rimage’s automated duplication systems.
DiscFlow works with Rimage Producer and Professional Series disc production systems — high capacity disc burning stations that incorporate printing capabilities as well. DiscFlow for Mac OS X lets users create discs and labels they can preview using Leopard’s “Cover Flow” feature, and “Watch Folders” can be set up that will, in turn, be used automatically by DiscFlow to create a disc, unattended.
Rimage said that DiscFlow is comparable to QuickDisc, which the company offers for Windows. It can be installed on an unlimited number of Macs on the network, and a browser-based tool (WebRSM) is also available for users who want to get job and system monitoring information.
