G-Technology on Monday introduced the G-RAID Pro, a new desktop RAID system for digital professionals working in video and other high-performance environments. The new system will be available in June beginning at $999.
The G-RAID Pro features FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 support and sports storage capabilities up to 4 terabytes (TB). It has an on-board hardware-based RAID controller that supports both RAID 0 and RAID 4 operation with auto-rebuild. Four hot-swappable 7200 RPM Serial ATA (SATA)-based hard disk drive modules are included.
G-RAID Pro will be available in 1, 2, 3 and 4TB configurations.
G-Technology’s Web site had not been updated with information about the new drive system as Macworld posted this article.
