Signiant on Tuesday announced its new Signiant Media Solution. It’s a software product that integrates with Apple’s Final Cut Studio to offer file transfer acceleration. It’s coming this Spring.
Signiant Media Solution has been created to assist post-production facilities who are working with remote locations connected over Wide Area Network (WAN) connections, such as producers and directors who may be shooting from the field or sending in dailies from other locations. It’s designed to reduce bottlenecks that can be caused by network latency.
Signiant’s software works by prioritizing Final Cut Pro file transfers with other traffic on the network. It also provides security and central management capabilities. Users can get information on transfer status, including successful file transfer or failure.
Signiant Media Solution will work on Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
