Mozilla has updated its popular Firefox Web browser. The update, Firefox RC1 (Release Candidate) is being released for development and testing purposes, the company said.
Based on the Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform, Firefox 3 has many new features from security to ease of use. The Gecko engine itself has received over 14,000 updates in the past few years alone.
Firefox features better password management, a simplified add-on system, one-click site info, tagging, auto complete, smart bookmark folder, new graphics and font handling , and improved performance, among other changes.
Firefox RC1 is available for download from the Mozilla Web site.
