Apple has released an update for its professional audio application Logic Pro. The 8.0.2 update fixes over 100 issues with the application ranging from MIDI to automation.
Among the changes, Apple fixed a display problem when using Pro Tools 7.4 Digidesign TDM plug-ins and plug-in window size changes are now saved with screensets. Delay Designer’s feedback tap now loads correctly and REX2 and MP3 files in the Audio Bin file selector box while Logic is playing.
Normalizing now works correctly after adjusting any settings; hidden Arrange area tracks are now also hidden in the Mixer; changing the Group setting when multiple channel strips are selected now works as expected; and selecting an external MIDI track no longer sends its settings.
Several changes in the media area have also been fixed including the ability to resize the window and renaming an audio group file.
If you are using Logic Node you will need to update your Logic Node application on connected computers as well. After running the updater you will find an updated Logic Node installer called Logic Node 8.0.2.dmg in your Utilities folder.
A complete list of changes in Logic Pro 8.0.2 is available from Apple’s Web site. The 135MB update can be downloaded via Apple’s software update mechanism in Mac OS X.
