Agile Web Solutions on Monday released 1Password 2.6.3, a new version of their password manager software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, 1Password costs $34.95. A 30-day trial version is available.
1Password helps keep track of passwords for the Web sites you visit. It integrates with most major browsers, and can securely manage and auto-fill Web forms. It also features a password generator, sports anti-phishing and keylogger protection software and more.
New to the 2.6.3 release is an easier to use autosave window for Safari and other browsers based on Apple’s WebKit technology: it now lets you verify that the login information is accurate before saving. The Strong Password Generator has been improved, and you can now copy selected 1Password objects to the clipboard as text. A new Check for Updates window supports multiple download sites and an inline progress indicator lets you read release notes while updates are downloaded.
1Password requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
